lexICT legal, your digital law boutique
Founded in Hannover in 2021, out of a data protection consultancy and out of the Institute for Legal Informatics. That origin still shapes the work. We read systems as well as contracts.
Alongside lexICT Datenschutzberatung
As a sister company to lexICT Datenschutzberatung, founded in 2010, the law firm was established in 2021 by the partners Kai Korte, Theresia Rasche and Thorsten Heermann. Jonathan Stoklas joined as a further attorney in April 2024 and is now also a partner.
The two operate separately and complement each other. The law firm advises and represents. As our service company, lexICT GmbH takes on the ongoing support and the appointment as external data protection officer. For you it remains the same advice from a single source, simply with two contracting parties.
Young and technically minded
The team consists entirely of young, technically minded lawyers who, as digital natives, are close to current developments and thoroughly familiar with the technologies involved in digitalisation and other technical innovation. Where technical knowledge reaches its limits, trusted IT consultants are on hand.
Our shared roots: academia
The partners have known each other for many years through their joint work at the Institute for Legal Informatics at Leibniz University Hannover, where they gained wide-ranging experience in IT law and intellectual property law. The academic approach learned there is applied in daily practice as well.
Our motivation
Although lawyers specialising in these fields are much in demand, the partners actively decided against joining established firms. The resulting freedom allows us to follow our convictions and values and to support clients with personal contact, advice as equals and tailored, pragmatic solutions.
